Dan Walters has been photographing wildlife for nearly 20 years and is passionate about photographing birds. He can usually be found in the field every day, where he challenges himself to capture their color and variety as well as each bird’s unique behavior.


Living in Colorado provides Dan with a wide variety of ecosystems to photograph in. From the prairie to the alpine tundra, he has numerous subjects to choose from. Dan has been published in Colorado Outdoors, Colorado Life Magazine, Ranger Rick Jr. Magazine, Bugle Magazine, Impact Publishing, Blue sky Publishing, Smith-SouthWestern, Brown Trout Publishing and many more. A note about Alligator Farm Field Workshops **

The Alligator Farm REQUIRES an ANNUAL PHOTO PASS for this workshop.**If you need a Photo Pass then please purchase our “I NEED AN ALLIGATOR FARM PHOTO PASS” ticket and a Photo Pass will be ordered for you.  You will only need to buy the pass one time and it’s valid for one year. 2020 Photo Passes are $120.

We want you to enjoy and learn as much as you can in your field workshops. Therefore, it is important to arrive early and have all of your gear ready to go so you do not miss out or hold the group up. Each field workshop will begin with a 10 minute overview of the subject and techniques. Suggested gear lists are included with each field workshop.
